ex-Malaysian BOCs face potential forced repatriation

In a letter dated 1 December 2011, the UK immigration minister,  Damian Green, writes to inform Simon Hughes MP of the measures he is putting in place to remove people of Malaysian origin with British Overseas Citizenship status from British soil. Damian Green alludes to discussions with the Malaysian government. The objective is to create some mechanism for the return of BOCs and the eventual re-acquisition of Malaysian citizenship by them. However Damian Green warns that those who do not abide by the yet-to-be-established process will be forcibly returned.
